A Good Friend and
"Mom"
Janet is like my mom. When I was in Arizona, I
only saw my Mom once. Jill's mom is kind of like my Mom. And so is Janet.
*
I met Janet on IRC in February
1996 or so. She is Catholic and we would sometimes discuss what I didn't
like about the Catholic Church. Since I was becoming Mormon, I didn't really
listen to her arguements... I was already hooked.
*
When I decided to move to
Arizona, I began talking to Janet more because she lived in Arizona.
Once I got there, I talked
to her a lot more especially about religion, she was the ONLY person who
would really answer my questions.
*
While I was in San Diego
with Jill on vacation, a friend met and talked to Janet. So, when I got
back, my friend and I met over at Janet's house. (This was my first time
meeting Janet).
We began a long religious
discussion... which still has not ended.
*
Janet invited me to go to
Chruch with her and her husband, Dan, at St. Timothy's in Arizona. And
we went. I loved it!! It was better than any Catholic Church I remember.
In return, I took her to a LDS Church service afterwards. Needless to say,
she did not like it at all.
*
Janet is like my mom. I can
talk to her, ask her questions...whatever. She has been through a lot of
the same stuff I have and therefore can relate to me.
*
I can turn to her for religious
help and she won't turn me away.
*
I used to go with her and
Dan (who is like a father) to St. Tim's every Sunday.
*
Dan is a kewl man... hehe...
rhymes. He is like a teddy bear. I can talk to him too, and he does his
best to answer my questions. He is a great father figure. I appreciate
everything he does for me and I'm glad I know him.
*
I just love Janet and Dan.
They are wonderful people and I am so happy that I met them and they are
my friends.
